COVID Protocols – Progress Continues!
We remain grateful that the Austin area is in lower stages of its COVID protocol system, and that the CDC has released new guidance for individuals based on weekly county-level data. In light of this public health guidance and the commitments we have held throughout the pandemic, we are in ongoing discussion of our community’s protocols. If you have strong feelings about the pace of restrictions loosening (or not) you may always be in touch with us. We are balancing many different variables in this discernment.
Our current precautions currently include:
- Small Groups (less than 25) may discuss as a group whether members wish to have a universal or optional mask policy. Please curate these conversations to hold space for all to be heard and held in care.
- For public gatherings (like worship) and gatherings over 25 people, universal indoor masking policy continues currently and is under active evaluation. (Despite being in Stage 2, APH recommends this at least through spring break in light of the amount of travel into and out of the metro area.)
- Fellowship after Sunday worship returns! Coffee and beverages will be served outdoors. Fellowship beverages and snacks will be offered when the weather permits.
- Worship will no longer be “rationing” our sung music. With masks on at lower levels of community spread, we are confident that we can sing safely enough to return to the amount of music we are most accustomed to.
As ever, we continue to ask anyone who will be on campus to prescreen for symptoms and stay home if you feel sick. Based on public health guidance, we no longer maintain a contact-tracing sign in. So you do not need to complete or submit a roster to the Regathering Task Force.
