Post Worship Potluck  – Lutheran Rosary

As we prepare to enter the Lenten season and try to come closer to God in the mystery of the 40 days, I would like to introduce the discipline of praying the Lutheran Rosary. As mentioned in last week’s sermon, prayer is not something that comes naturally to me but I want to practice. Doing so with an object is one way that I imagine helping. The Lutheran Rosary, or the Wreath of Christ, was developed by a Swedish bishop emeritus in the 90s and is a now beloved practice for many christians of any number of denominations. We will spend our potluck time making our own Wreaths, learning the prayers, and discussing other Lenten practices that help us to get close to God. The material will be provided for you. Please bring yourself and a dish to share or just bring yourself!
