Reformation Movie Event

All are invited to our Reformation Movie Event screening of Luther (2003). In the style of one of our favorite local movie house, this will be an interactive movie event with props provided (and snacks, too). You can throw crumpled indulgences at Johann Tetzel…ring wedding bells for Martin and Katie…boo the villains…cheer the heroes…and maybe even join Squire George and put on a disguise to hide from danger…

Holiday Meal Drive 2023

Hill Country Community Ministries (HCCM) for 2023 has seen a 30% increase of clients. Sunday, October 1, kicked off the Holiday Meal Drive. The drive is similar to last year’s; each church is contributing a piece of the meal. Peace is responsible for 500 cans of green beans and 250 cans of corn. The deadline for this drive is Sunday, October 22.

Peace’s Book Club meets the 2nd Thursday of each month on Zoom. The next meeting is this Thursday, October 12 at 1:30 PM. You may have noticed that Sundays after worship lately, there is often food and…something else…a potluck lunch and conversation topic. We are working to make this a consistent part of our weekly schedule. Some weeks, perhaps we will just have food and informal fellowship. Some weeks there will be a guest leader or formal presentation on a topic…or a service opportunity.

50th Anniversary

You are invited to join us for a celebration of 50 years of worship, service, and community on Sunday September 10 at 3:00 pm.


Faith Formation for All Ages

The new program year is here! This year, the children’s circle will meet weekly at 9:30 AM, before worship. Middle school students are invited to join our confirmation cohort (email Pastor Carolyn for information). We also anticipate having at least 2 post-worship learning and fellowship events for adults each month. The schedule will be announced soon, as we gather feedback. Feel free to share your input using the Spiritual Development Survey here.

Vicar Taylor Farewell

It’s time to say farewell. Vicar Taylor’s last Sunday at Peace is July 30th. After that, she will have completed all seminary requirements and will begin interviewing for her first call. Vicar Taylor has been a blessing to Peace’s community, and we send her with our prayers and blessings.

Women’s Bible Study

The Women’s Morning Bible Study group meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month on zoom. Our next gathering is Wednesday, July 12 at 9:30 AM. We use the current study/devotion from the Women of the ELCA Magazine, Gather. We read and discuss the material together so no preparation is required. We’d love to have you join us this month.

VBS June 19-23

We are so excited for the return of Vacation Bible School this year at Peace. VBS will be June 10-23, 2023, 9am-12pm. Camp staff from Lutherhill  will lead us in a great week about prayer with all the things you love about VBS: friends, songs, crafts, and games. VBS is open to kids who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. Our registration fee is flexible. Space is limited, so register soon to reserve your slots. Register now!
